Read the need first
Animals ask for food, water, a walk, cleaning, or dental care. Do the line that is showing. Filling a bowl does not clear a dental need.
Water
Click the water bowl, fill it at the sink, and put it back. The sink is the fill step. The bowl on the floor is not already full just because you clicked it.
Food
Take the matching food out of storage and into your hand, using the inventory slot, then use it on the animal. Food left in the box does not feed anyone. Dog food is for dogs. Cats take cat food, and play on this place also bought cat milk. Use premium food only when you already have that animal.
Walks
When the status says walk, take that animal out and bring it back. A walk is a separate task from food. Close the dog yard if the prompt tells you the yard is open.
Cleaning
Kennels get dirty. Clean the mess before you stack more animals in the same run. A dirty pen is its own need, not a sign that the animal wants more food.
Dental care
Dogs and cats both need dental care. Use the dental sticks, also called chew bones or gentle sticks, from the storage box marked with a tooth. Players who only fed and walked still saw sad animals until this step was done.
The same tooth box is what players were told to use before a turtle button appeared. Details are on the animals guide.
After the needs are clear
Coins are earned by selling pets to customers, and some visits are drop-offs that you board. Keep the animal's listed needs clear before you chase the next desk prompt. There is no published happiness number, so use the on-screen needs instead of a guessed meter.
Supplies are bought at the Food Store. See the supplies guide if the storage box is empty.
