Turtles are an exotic animal sold through the store's later buttons. Premium turtle food can be purchased before you own a turtle, and that purchase does not create the button.

How do you get Turtles?
Players who could not see the turtle button were told to open food storage and use the box marked with a tooth. That box is the dental supply.
How do you use Turtles?
Use the dental box first, then look again for the turtle button. Stock turtle food only after the animal is actually in the store.
